Lipstick washing you out?
The words, "No, honey, that color won't work on you," are something no one wants to hear when they've just purchased a new lipstick. But what if it's true? I'm here to tell you a few ways to make ANY lipstick work for you!🤐
Use a lip liner
This is probably the oldest trick in the book and hands down the most effective. It's used by almost every makeup artist too!💋 A darker shade of lip liner can change the game for you! If you have a lipstick that’s washing you out, a lip liner can help solve that problem in a jiffy! Make sure to use a liner that is a shade darker and in the same color family as your lipstick!👄For instance, if you have a light nude shade, a brown lip liner will pair well with it.
Use a contour shade
Our stack is equipped with everything you need, and we weren’t kidding!😋 Use the contour shade to line your lips in case you don’t have a lip liner or just want a soft contoured look!🫦
Use a lipstick/blush
You can mix the shade that’s not working for you with any other lipstick from your collection!💗 You may be surprised to find a few lip combos that work well for you! Our Play Paint lipstick and the blush from the stack can also be used for this! Cheers to finding new lip combos!☺️
Use an eyebrow pencil/eyeshadow
If you don’t have many lipsticks to mix your shade with, then try using an eyebrow pencil.😉 Make sure you use a light hand and mix it well to provide the shadow effect! You can also use eyeshadows to elevate your lipstick shade, just like using another lipstick to mix it with!
