What is Clean Beauty: All you need to know in 2022

We’re all humans of habit. When we go shopping, we’re likely to visit Zara or H&M because of familiarity rather than a boutique store. When we eat out, we gravitate towards the restaurants or meals we’ve tried before. How often do you try something new?

What is Clean Beauty?

Okay, I know, everyyyyone is using the “clean beauty” buzz word, but what is it really?

In the past few years, a number of brands have taken a stand for tabooing harmful chemicals that are present in almost every skincare or makeup product (except ours, of course!). Clean beauty products are made with ingredients that do not harm, and sometimes even benefit the health of our skin, and environment.

Greenwashing in beauty, much like fashion is when brands make deliberate, misleading claims on their values, ingredients and processes to make consumers believe they are more environmentally, and personally friendly than they really are.

With the growing demand, and trendiness of clean beauty a number of brands are jumping on this bandwagon.

To identify these sneaky brands, you need to know how green you really want to be. For example, the percentage of beneficial/organic ingredients or whether your priority is reducing carbon footprint anddd always read labels!
