The best way to line your lips without a lip liner

Tiktok has got us hacks to line, outline and most definitely, overline our lips. Lip liners have become a staple in our low-key daily glam. But, for us clumsy ones, it just so happens that our lip liners go MIA right when we need it! Luckily though, we’ve got some alternatives in case of this makeup emergency. They won’t provide as much precision as your beloved lip pencil but would do a fairly good job to outline your pout.

1.       Eyeshadow

You’ll want to take a brown toned matte eyeshadow to line your lips. Choose a colour that suits your skin tone.

2.       Eyeshadow and micellar water

Grab eyeshadow and add 1/2 drops of micellar water to it to make it creamy in consistency for a more seamless application. Now simply use an angled brush to line your lips using the mix.

3.       Concealer

You can take a richer shade of concealer and carefully line your lips. Then, apply a lighter shade in the center and blend it by rubbing your lips together. Now top it off with your lipstick. The concealers will not only line your lips but also make the lipstick smudge proof and long lasting….it's a win-win situation! 

4.   Cream/ powder contour

Similar to eyeshadows, you can also use your cream or powder contour to outline the lips. A cream contour though, is easier to apply. 

So the next time your favourite lip liner gets lost (fingers crossed!), don’t panic and try out these hacks!
